Monday Sewing Lessons 5yrs-6yrs (5 weeks)

What you'll make: 

• patchwork collage to be framed at home

What We'll Be Learning:

• How to use a sewing machine — including threading it together
• How to sew in a straight line on fabric scraps (we’ll try this lots of times!)
• Building confidence with the machine — nothing has to be perfect, we’re here to have fun!
• How to stop your stitches from coming undone (that’s called a backstitch!)
• What a hem is and how we fold fabric to make neat edges
• How to sew a strap onto something
• A bit of hand sewing too!
• And lots of fun sewing tips and tricks along the way

How long will the lesson take: 45 minutes per day

What we will supply: Sewing machine, scissors, plus all the fabric and notions needed for the project
