Skill Level:  Suitable for beginners with little or no knowledge of sewing as we'll start the lesson with an introduction to the sewing machine and an overlocker.

*We have a limit of 2 people per session.

What will you make:  Cushion cover with an invisible zip or Freestyle (bring your own project)

What you'll learn:

• How to thread and use a sewing machine 

• How to sew in a straight line, finish seams and reverse stitch

• Understanding fabrics, grain line, seam allowances, pinning and marking fabric

• Attaching an invisible zipper

• finishing off all raw seams with the overlocker

How Long will the sewing session be: One and a half hours per day over 2 days 

What to bring:  50cm of cotton fabric (no velvet or silks) matching thread plus a 21cm zipper

What we will supply: Sewing machine, scissors, tape measure, pins, sewing clips, chalk and scrap cotton fabric to create the patchwork.

Total of 2 days x 1.5 hours per day
